LABEL SOFTWARE - LABEL AUTOMATION
LP5 COMMANDER
LP5 COMMANDER EDITOR
Special customer requirements and individual production processes often require individual solutions with user interfaces and processes. With the LP5 CommanderEditor you can design your own application.
All control elements can be freely positioned and their optics (colors, fonts, frames) and functions can be configured. Thanks to flexibly parameterizable actions, versatile data and process connections are possible, be it an automatic print start when new ERP order data is received, the integration of scanner and scale data or communication with third-party systems via the OPC interface.
All these functions are available in the LP5 CommanderEditor with a click of the mouse without knowledge of any programming language.
DESIGN YOUR LABEL AUTOMATION WITHOUT PROGRAMMING KNOWLEDGE
The LP5 Commander consists of a freely enlargeable window with menu and toolbar. The main area shows the Commander window that is currently being processed. To the right of it is the field / variable list.

The functionality of a Commander project consists of the following main components:
Actions:
a) Background actions: Processes that can run continuously or at the push of a button, e.g. data import or automation monitoring. Each process is given a name by the user; several processes can run in parallel.
b) Print start actions: you can define lists of actions that are to run at a "print start". Each of these action lists is given its own name by the user, several print start actions can be defined (for example for print start on different lines).
c) Print stop actions: you can define lists of actions that should run in the event of a "print stop". Each of these action lists is given its own name by the user.
Variables: These are used for data exchange between the Commander fields, the LP5 label, etc.
Fields: Display / control panels such as buttons, input fields, etc.
User administration
LP5 Commander - Pallet Line Control (application description)
Pallets that come asynchronously from different production lines are marked on a label printing and dispensing system. Industrial hardware signals 24Volt are made available as proof of the pallet origin.
Application example - Pallet Line Control of the LP5 label software
The program accesses a Database in which the products are stored. The connection to the database takes place via ODBC drivers. The currently running product can be selected here for each production line and assigned to the corresponding line.
When the automation is started, the program monitors signals that either come from an OPC client / server connection for machine control or by a web I / O.
If the signal of the pallet origin is detected together with a start signal, the LP5 Commander generates the stored label layout with the product data and sends this as a print job to the pallet labeller.
LP5 Commander - Labelcenter (application description):
Within every company with incoming and outgoing goods, there are various labeling and marking tasks to be carried out before the items enter or leave the warehouse. This LP5 Commander was developed in order to be able to carry out this and other labeling tasks sensibly and with uniform print data and label layouts. Part of the solution is the connection via ODBC drivers to the customer's ERP system in order to be able to access article data, production order data, serial numbers, open orders from suppliers and open sales orders.
Application example - Labelcenter of the label software LP5
In the menu, the operator decides which type of label (eg article or type label) he would like to print or which process he would like to follow. Optionally, when the label is generated, an XML file can be made available to the ERP system, for example in order to post the items from the order in the same process as the goods receipt label is printed.
This LP5 Commander is also used to carry out quality control in incoming goods and to log it with the user data (export as an XML file).
